Prviacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains what personal data I collect through moneyfoundations.ie, why I collect it, and what rights you have over it. I take your privacy seriously, and I've written this in plain language rather than dense legal text, if anything is unclear, you're welcome to ask me directly.

Who I am

Money Foundations is a trading name of Nienhuis Financial Coaching, business name number 682083, registered in Ireland. I, Edwin Nienhuis, am the sole trader behind this business and the data controller for any personal data collected through this website. As a sole trader, I'm the only person who sees the data you share with me, there is no separate staff or sales team with access to it.

What personal data I collect

Depending on how you interact with the site, I may collect:

- Contact details you provide through the contact form or booking flow: name, email address, phone number (if given), and your organisation name (if applicable).

- The content of your enquiry, whatever you write in the message field or answer in a booking question.

- Coaching or session-related information you share with me directly during a discovery call or ongoing sessions, this is never collected through the website itself, only in conversation with you.

- Basic technical and usage data collected automatically when you visit the site, such as pages viewed, general location (country or region level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through analytics cookies, covered in the Cookies section below.

I do not collect any special category data (such as health information) through the website itself. If anything of that nature comes up during a coaching conversation, it's handled as part of the confidential coaching relationship, not as website data.

How I use your data

I use the personal data I collect to:

- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a call or session

- Deliver 1:1 coaching or workshop/presentation services you've booked

- Send you information you've specifically asked for, such as a checklist or resource

- Understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site, so I can improve it

- Meet legal, insurance, or regulatory obligations where relevant

I do not use your data to sell you financial products, and I do not receive commission from any third party based on your data or your enquiry.

Legal basis for processing

Under GDPR, I rely on the following legal bases depending on the situation:

- Consent, for example when you submit the contact form, book a call, or sign up to receive a resource

- Contract, once we've agreed to work together, to deliver the coaching or workshop service itself

- Legitimate interest, for basic website analytics that help me understand and improve the site, always balanced against your right to privacy

- Legal obligation, where I'm required to keep certain records (for example, for insurance or tax purposes)

Who I share your data with

I don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone. I share it only with the small number of trusted service providers that help me run this business, for example:

- Calendly, for scheduling calls (once live)

- My website host and email provider, to run the site and correspond with you

- Google Analytics, for anonymised, aggregate website usage statistics

- Complianz, the cookie consent management tool used on this site, which keeps a record of your cookie consent choice as proof of compliance

- My professional indemnity insurer, only if relevant to a claim or a regulatory requirement

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (for example, in the US). Where that happens, they're required to have appropriate safeguards in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. I don't share your data with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

How long I keep your data

I keep personal data only for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law or professional obligation. As a general guide:

- Contact form enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months, then deleted

- Client records connected to a coaching engagement: retained for a longer period consistent with standard professional and insurance record-keeping practice

- Website analytics data: retained in anonymised or aggregate form only

How I protect your data

As a sole trader, your data isn't spread across a team, I'm the only person with access to it. I use reputable, secure third-party tools (booking, email, hosting) rather than storing sensitive data in insecure formats, and I take reasonable steps to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but I do my best to protect what you share with me.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses cookies, small text files stored on your device, to help it work properly and to help me understand how the site is used. Cookie consent on this site is managed through Complianz, a cookie compliance tool installed by my website host. Complianz automatically scans the site for the cookies in use, groups them into categories (such as strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and marketing), and shows you a consent banner when you first visit, so that any non-essential cookie is only set once you've agreed to it.

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer. A full, up to date list of the specific cookies in use, what each one does, and how long it's stored, is maintained automatically by Complianz and available through that same cookie settings link, rather than as a static table here, so it always reflects what's actually running on the site.

Declining non-essential cookies doesn't affect your ability to use the site or book a call.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

- Access the personal data I hold about you

- Have inaccurate data corrected

- Ask me to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable

- Restrict or object to certain processing

- Receive your data in a portable format

- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at edwin@moneyfoundations.ie. I'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your personal data, please contact me directly first, I'll do my best to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Ireland's Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time, for example as the site or the tools behind it change. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
